Check out this 2.4-mile out-and-back trail near Delaware Water Gap, Pennsylvania. Generally considered a moderately challenging route, it takes an average of 1 h 7 min to complete. This is a very popular area for birding and hiking, so you’ll likely encounter other people while exploring. The best times to visit this trail are April through October. Dogs are welcome, but must be on a leash.

This route mostly follows the Appalachian Trail to an overlook with views looking across the Delaware River at the New Jersey/Pennsylvania state line. The parking is near Lake Lenape. Head towards the lake following the AT, the trail is rolling before it heads uphill after the half-mile mark heading up towards the overlook.
